Kathryn Omond – About Me

A contribution from one of my favourite photographers – thanks Rich Bayley!

My husband and I farm Merino sheep in the Gibbston Valley which is 20 minutes from Queenstown.  I was born and raised in Dunedin and Waikouaiti before moving to Queenstown 12 years ago.

I have given 9 years volunteering in Victim Support and Lions Clubs, studied psychology and farming and love to go boating, spending time in the garden, training our 3 dogs and writing.

I thoroughly enjoy being involved in the weddings and find it such a privilege to be a part of your big day.  I have excellent organisational skills and feel a huge sense of satisfaction seeing a ceremony come together and be successful.  I have extensive experience in all sorts of weddings ranging from the very informal to the very formal, jandels on the beach to hats and high heels at exclusive venues. From gorgeous Glacier weddings in the Southern Alps and high on top of the Remarkable Mountains to the intimate beach at Sunshine Bay. Deep in the wine caves at Gibbston Valley and all the fabulous venues in and around our beautiful lakes.

I am mindful that some people don’t want a religious ceremony while for others, this is an important aspect of their ceremony.  I work with you to provide exactly what you want for your big day.  This, to me, is one of the most important parts of writing a ceremony ~ ensuring it is exactly what you want.
